Welcome to ADORNTHEWALLS, the website devoted to photos at reasonable prices to enhance and decorate your home or office.

I have been taking photographs since 1965 having originally started after realizing I had no talent for painting. So I decided to “ paint “ with my camera.

I have won numerous awards and prizes for my work. My first was the grand prize in a contest sponsored by the St. Thomas Chamber of Commerce while on my honeymoon with my wife of 44 years, Susan.

Since then I have been cited by my local camera club seven times for it’s Top Award, and twice each for Slide of the Month and Print of the month. I also have had two photos published by the Newark Star-Ledger for it’s “Our Towns” contest and my local library had an exhibit of 30 of my prints. In July ’08 I am delighted to say I was one of eight $1,000 winners in the Great Destinations NJ photography contest sponsored by the Star-Ledger, New Jersey’s largest newspaper.

When I am taking pictures I get lost in the concentration and it is therefore enriching and therapeutic at the same time.  As you can tell from the galleries , my favorite subjects are landscapes, flowers, and scenics of all kinds. If you like bold color you will find many subjects to interest you. Sometimes the subject is obvious because of it’s inherent beauty and sometimes my eye is able to isolate a subject from it’s surroundings. The bottom line is I just love bringing to life in photographic prints what I see.

Each picture has a short caption to explain the what and where and possibly the why.

At the urging of friends and family I have launched this website. I sincerely hope you enjoy it and hope you will recommend it to others.
