My name is Allen Beatty and I took up photography originally because I couldn't paint. So I paint wth my camera . I have been taking photographs for 45 years and have won various awards, contests, and have been published. I had often fantasized about having a website. So at the urging of friends and family I decided to do it.

Here you will find photography that is visually appealing and evokes emotion or some visceral reaction. The photos are direct and to the point with a minimum of "manipulation." Among the 13 galleries is photography that is bold, colorful, with a decided slant toward design and composition.
I love beautiful subjects whether alive or inanimate. That is what you will find in my galleries .
